I've done countless photorealistic package images, but the majority (Smucker's, Pillsbury, Hungry Jack, Crisco, etc.) are not available to publish on this site, but be sure to contact me for more information.
This selection offers a good idea of how to make a package look "better than real."
Along with designing box graphics and logo update, I created this box illustration by distorting flat panel images and adding highlights, shadows, etc in photoshop. |

only the ice is real, the rest is realistically illustrated lids and distorted flat printing graphics with highlights and shadows. |

...and that same ice cream after a heavy retouching |

Along with helping design the actual packaging while at McElveney & Palozzi Design, I was asked to
create this mockup image of a final product.
I took the flat artwork and "wrapped" it by distorting it in photoshop
and then adding highlights and shadows, creases and illustrating metal clips, etc.
This is not at all an image of a real package, but a "better than real" illustration.
